(East Providence, RI)--Work has been completed on a bridge in East Providence.Leaders gathered on Friday to celebrate the early completion of the Horton Farm Bridge, which carries the East Shore Expressway to I-195 west.RIDOT says the 34-year-old bridge had severe concrete and steel deterioration, and the entire superstructure of the bridge was replaced for about 16-and-a-half-million dollars.
