(Providence, RI)--A Providence City Council member introduced a resolution on Thursday regarding the placement of the Christopher Columbus statue.The statue has been vandalized multiple times, including this past Columbus Day when someone dumped red paint on it.Ward 8 council member James Taylor said the statue was a gift to the Elmwood Neighborhood Association and says residents of the neighborhood should have a say.Others have said it should be moved.
