(Providence, RI)--The city of Providence is reaching a settlement agreement with the city police union regarding overtime payments.The Providence Journal reports the agreement was reached earlier this month for one-point-five-million dollars being paid out to over four-hundred officers.The police union filed a suit in 2013 accusing the city of violating federal fair-labor standards.The agreement needs federal court approval.
