Pelosi Moves Forward With Impeachment, Spats With Reporter

In a move that would surprise no one, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the Judiciary Committee will start drafting articles of impeachment against President Trump. Speaking at the Capitol yesterday, Pelosi argued that Trump violated the Constitution in the Ukraine scandal.

She said the "facts are uncontested – the President abused power for his personal benefit, at the expense of national security, by withholding military aid" to Ukraine "for an announcement of an investigation into his political rival” (a reference to former VP Joe Biden). Pelosi noted that “no one is above the law.”

But at the end of the presser came something that few could have predicted.James Rosen, a former Fox News correspondent who now works for the Sinclair Broadcast Group, asked Pelosi if any of the current events were happening because she “hates” the President. She was not amused.

  • Pelosi positively scolded Rosen adding, "Don't mess with me when it comes to words like that!" She went on to say that she's a Catholic “who doesn't hate anyone” and noted that she regularly prays for the President.
