(River Rouge, MI) -- The U.S. Steel plant in River Rouge, Michigan is being shut down. Production will be moving to Gary, Indiana along the Lake Michigan shoreline outside of Chicago, and around 15-hundred Detroit-area workers will be laid off. U.S. Steel says no layoffs will happen before April 1st.
