(Undated) -- An annual event designed to provoke a few laughs is in the books.
The No Pants Subway Ride was held Sunday in nearly two dozen cities around the world.
The group behind the event, Improv Everywhere, said they expected thousands to participate by riding commuter trains in the middle of winter without pants.
The event started in New York, but it has spread across the country and overseas. Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Tokyo and Toronto were just some of the cities to participate.
