(East Providence, RI) -- An update on the three-dollar movie theater in East Providence, which was reportedly closed last month because of a license fee-payment issue. The business on Newport Avenue has now been boarded up. A city spokesperson tells The Providence Journal there were a number of safety and property maintenance issues found by city inspectors which resulted in the theater receiving citations. The website for the East Providence 10 theater website has a message that reads, "showtimes coming soon".
