(Newport, RI)--A suspended Middletown police lieutenant has been found guilty of nearly a dozen felony counts in a jury trial.The Newport Daily News reports Richard Gamache was convicted in Superior Court in Newport on Wednesday on charges stemming from allegations he altered or deleted police records for his girlfriend Tiffany Walaski and fraudulently tried to get a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher for her.Those discoveries were reportedly made after Gamache and Walaski were arrested on domestic violence charges.Gamache is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
