(Kingston, RI)--Brown University's decision to not hold large-scale events is causing a ripple effect for Rhode Island high school sports.The RI Interscholastic League says it was notified yesterday Brown cannot host the Division One and Two boys' hockey championships, and that Providence College is also not available.The R-I-I-L says those games will now be played at Boss Arena on the University of Rhode Island campus, beginning Friday.
