The Catholic Doicese of Providence is suspending masses beginning Tuesday, until further notice. Bishop Thomas Tobin announced Monday that weddings and funeral may proceed. he also recommended that parishes remain open during the day for prayer. Tobin called the decision, "the most painful decision I have had to make in my 27 years as a bishop."
