(Providence, RI)--Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza unveiled his budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2021 on Tuesday, a 507-million-dollar proposal, about 800-thousand dollars more than the FY-2020 budget.The budget does not feature any changes to residential or commercial property tax rates.With an eye to the coronavirus crisis, the budget includes a new small business tax exemption, subject to approval from the state legislature: no tangible taxes for businesses with a personal property assessment of under ten-thousand dollars.Mayor Elorza will deliver a budget address on Facebook Live tonight at 7:00.
