(Providence, RI)--Governor Gina Raimondo on Monday said she hopes to lift Rhode Island's stay-at-home order at the end of the day on Friday and thus begin re-opening the state's economy. The first phase would allow what the state considers "non-critical" retail businesses to re-open with restrictions.Restaurants will remain closed for in-person dining in the first phase, but outdoor dining will be permitted. Also, the Raimondo administration says everyone with an office job who can work from home should continue to do so, but that employers should take steps to prepare for bringing back employees into the office.Anyone who has deferred healthcare needs should contact their doctors.Visitation restrictions for nursing homes, hospitals and assisted living centers will continue.
