(Providence, RI)--A former Providence attorney is being sentenced to a year in federal prison for receiving monthly pension payments for a dead client for nearly twelve years.The U.S. Justice Department says Oleg Nikolyszyn fraudulently collected about 174-thousand dollars in payments from the City of Providence Employee's Retirement System and other additional pension money in the name of the former client.Nikolyszyn has been disbarred as an attorney in Rhode Island.
