(Boston, MA)--The Boston Red Sox have issued a statement responding to allegations made by former Major Leaguer Torii Hunter that he was subjected to racial slurs at Fenway Park.The Red Sox backed up Hunter's allegations, saying last year, there were seven reported incidents at Fenway where fans used such slurs.The Red Sox organization said there are well-established consequences for fans who are caught, but that it still has more work to do to fight the issue.
