(Newport, RI)--While the baseball schedule has so far been completely erased by the coronavirus, a new league is being announced in Newport, called the Newport Collegiate Baseball League.It will consist of four teams playing an 18-game schedule at the home field of the Newport Gulls of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.The Newport league will feature collegiate players from New England who will commute instead of living with host families.A policy on fan attendance has not yet been set, but the games will be broadcast.
