(Warren, RI) -- A longtime Little League coach was recently arrested on child pornography charges. Rhode Island State Police said 59-year-old Mitchell Witherell is accused of transmitting files that contained illicit images of children from his apartment. Witherell has coached Little League baseball in Warren for the past forty years and was also a Pop Warner football coach from 1982 until 2014. Officials say there is no evidence so far that any of the players Witherell coached are involved.
