(Providence, RI) -- A gender-neutral option is now available for Rhode Island driver's licenses. Starting today, Rhode Islanders who do not identify as male or female can change their designation to an "X" following a directive from Governor Gina Raimondo last year. The governor said she is proud to make the state better reflect the diverse identities of Rhode Islanders.
