(Providence, RI)--In addition to nursing home visitation being opened back up in Rhode Island, so are hospital visits.Public health director Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott said yesterday the rules for hospital visits will be similar to what has been established for nursing homes; hospital visits will be allowed during limited hours, which will vary by hospital.Regarding nursing homes, Alexander-Scott said some facilities have not been quick to allow visits, either because of new coronavirus cases or because more time is needed to implement a virus safety plan.Alexander-Scott also said the ban on barbers and hairdressers going to nursing homes has been lifted.
