(Providence, RI) -- The 122-year-old Henry Barnard School is ending its affiliation with Rhode Island College. The elementary school was scheduled to close at the end of this academic year as a cost cutting measure by the college. But it will continue to operate independently on the RIC [[ rick ]] campus thanks to the efforts of parents. Paperwork has been filed with the state allowing the school to accept donations.
