(Block Island, RI) -- Block Island won't be getting public transit anytime soon. During a meeting last night, the New Shoreham Town Council voted to come up with an alternative over the next few weeks by working with residents. The council was thinking about adding a trolley or shuttle service in an attempt to make streets safer following deadly accidents. The new plan is to work with Rhode Island Public Transit Authority next year.
