(Providence, RI) -- State Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green calls the Providence Teachers Union contract a decades-old problem. Mayor Jorge Elorza says nothing will change until the contract is radically reformed. They both made their comments this morning in a broadcast interview.
Earlier this week the teachers' union called on the General Assembly to end the state takeover of the Providence school district.
