(Warwick, RI) -- Warwick celebrates with the return of Gaspee Days. The parade and other festivities happened yesterday afternoon in recognition of the burning of the HMS Gaspee in 1772 by American colonists. A mock Gaspee burning happened as part of the event yesterday evening in Pawtuxet Park. Due To COVID-19 concerns, last year the event was canceled.
