(Warwick, RI) -- A dead bat found on the beach in Warwick tests positive for rabies. The Rhode Island Department of Health confirmed yesterday that the bat which was found June 10th had rabies. Emergency Management officials say anyone walking a dog or hiking in Goddard Memorial State Park June 10th who may have had contact with the bat or whose pet may have is urged to contact the Department of Health's Center for Acute Infectious Disease Epidemiology office.
