Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse says the January 6th Committee should be working to find who exactly was behind the bid to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Speaking on NBC's Meet the Press, the Rhode Island Democrat said lawmakers need to follow the money to see who was funding the misinformation campaign to keep former President Trump in office.
Whitehouse said the U.S. public should be able to hear directly from those involved especially the Trump appointees that resigned.
It is unclear what the specific timetable will be.
