The city of Providence is looking for some holiday cheer. Actually they are looking for the official Providence Christmas Tree. Officials say they are looking for a 35 to 40 foot tree that could be donated that will adorn city hall. The city will take care of cutting down the tree and removing it from your property. Part of the tradition will include the annual tree lighting, which this year is set for December 3rd. The tree that is donated will be decorated in white lights. If you have a tree that you think is just perfect for this year's celebration, you are asked to contact Providence City Hall (laraujo@providenceri.gov) by the middle of next month.
