Rhode Island takes a bit of a hit in the latest jobs report.
The Labor Department says the state lost two thousand jobs and the unemployment rate went up two tenths of a point to five-point four percent.
A lot of the job loss came from 16 hundred jobs being lost in government.
Service sector jobs showed an increase.
The experts say that may be a sign that things are going to get better.
