The National Weather Service says the potential exists for a period of potentially-damaging wind gusts in Southern New England today.
The weather service is predicting gusts up to 40 miles per hour in northern Rhode Island and up to 50 in the southern part of the state.
Forecasters say accumulating snow is possible across parts of the region on Wednesday.
The latest computer tracking shows a path that will take most of the snow out to sea providing little accumulation for this week.
