Amtrak Investigates Death Of Conductor In Rhode Island

A 26-year-old female Amtrak conductor from Massachusetts has died in Rhode Island after falling off of a train in Westerly, Rhode Island.

The accident happened Saturday afternoon when the train was approaching the Friendship Street section.

Officials say it appears that the conductor was getting ready to stop the train when she fell and was caught under the train.

Amtrak does not know what caused the accident. They are investigating.
