The Bryant University men's basketball team is heading to the NCAA Division 1 Tournament for the first time after winning its first-ever Northeast Conference championship.
The Bulldogs defeated Wagner in the title match 70-to-43 at their home gym in Smithfield on Tuesday night.
The game was interrupted by a fight between fans in attendance late in the second have with less than 5 minutes to play The game had to be delayed by 30 minutes in order to restore order.
They were ejected from the game, but no arrests were reported.
Bryant was a former Division 2 school that made the transition to the top NCAA tier in 2008.
