The Rhode Island Blood Center has declared a "blood emergency."
The overall supply is down to a two-to-three day level.
It's even lower at one-to-two days for platelets and types O and B blood.
Ideally, the available supply is at five-to-seven days.
If you can donate, you are encouraged to book an appointment at Redcross.org.
