Governor Dan McKee says the wheels are rolling again on the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority seasonal "beach bus" express service.
The agency announced earlier this week that the buses from Providence and neighboring cities to several state beaches were being canceled because of low ridership numbers.
McKee says with rising costs from inflation, now is not the time to be discontinuing the rides.
The governor says his office and RIPTA will work to make more people aware of the option.
