Most Of State Considered "Abnormally Dry"

It seems to be a bit early for it to happen, but Rhode Island is facing drought conditions.

The U.S. Drought Monitor says the entire state, except for Block Island, is considered to be abnormally dry.

Under those conditions, experts say crop growth can be stunted, the fire danger increases and surface water levels go down.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday won't help with no rain being forecast. The next time we may see some rain is sometime during the day Monday.
