President Biden is highlighting climate change and extreme weather events.
Speaking in Massachusetts, Biden called it a "clear and present danger."
He said climate change is an existential threat and a "code red for humanity."
Biden cited western wildfires and extreme heatwaves across the U.S. He said extreme weather disrupts supply chains and hurts businesses.
The President argued the U.S. must transition to a clean energy economy with good new jobs.
At one point he said: "I will not take no for an answer."
He pledged to tackle climate change through executive actions because of gridlock in the 50-50 Senate.
The White House says Biden is still considering a declaration of a national climate emergency.

Meantime, the President used TF Green Airport as his hub for the trip. He was welcomed to Rhode Island by Governor McKee and Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi.
The Governor extended an invitation to the President to return to Rhode Island.
There has been no response from the White House on when and if that will happen.
