Zappe, Pats Ready For Battle With Lions

A pair of 1-and-3 teams are set to square off in an inter-conference battle as the New England Patriots host the Detroit Lions in Week Five.

The Patriots are coming off back-to-back losses after falling to Baltimore in their home opener and Green Bay in overtime.

Rookie Bailey Zappe could be making his first career start under center with quarterbacks Mac Jones and Brian Hoyer sidelined with injuries.

The Lions are also coming off a pair of losses.

Detroit dropped its most recent game to Seattle and also lost to Minnesota.

Head coach Dan Campbell leads the Lions into Foxboro where they will see a familiar face.

Former Detroit head coach Matt Patricia is calling the offensive plays for New England.
