Parents To Decide Vaccinations For Kids

The state will not require COVID vaccines for public school students in Rhode Island.

A CDC advisory group recently voted to add the vaccine to its list of routine childhood immunizations.

However, it's not a CDC mandate.

Governor Dan McKee says the state is leaving the decision on COVID vaccines for kids up to parents.

Meantime, doctors are advising that vaccinations be updated to keep up with the flu, Covid variants and RSV.
