Celtics Survive Overtime To Beat Lakers

The Celtics avoided a major collapse after thwarting the Lakers with a 122-118 overtime victory in Los Angeles.

Boston led by 20 points before falling behind by 13 points late in the fourth quarter.

Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 44 points and came within one rebound of recording a double-double.

Jaylen Brown scored 25 points, collected 15 rebounds and dished out five assists in the win.

Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 37 points.

LeBron James had 33 points and came within a rebound and an assist of a triple-double.

Los Angeles has now dropped four of its last five games to fall to 11-and-16.

Boston snapped its two-game skid to improve to 22-and-7.

The Celtics went 4 and 2 on the trip.
