Hearing On Providence Tent City Now Set For Friday

A court hearing about a homeless camp on the State House lawn has been delayed until Friday.

A judge said he wanted more time to review information submitted by the American Civil Liberties Union of Rhode Island.

Last Friday a temporary restraining order was granted that stopped the state from evicting residents of the camp.

Meantime, the Governor is getting the Cranston Street Armory ready for those that have been living in the tent city- if they wish to take advantage of those services.
