State Gets Smaller In Latest Census Figures

The State of Rhode Island, the smallest in the country, is getting even smaller.

According to the latest data, the state lost 3250 residents in the last year.

Almost 1 million 94 thousand people live in the state.

By comparison, Massachusetts lost 77 hundred people while Connecticut gained a little more than 28 hundred. Now the experts continue to go through the data.

There have been some questions as to whether there was an over count in the 2020 census.

The whole issue of how many people in the state will come up again in 2030 when the population gain, or declines will have a direct impact on the representation in congress.
