Rhode Island Housing Secretary Josh Saal has resigned.
He had been the target of increasing criticism in recent months for his handling of housing and homelessness issues.
A spokesperson for Governor Dan McKee said the administration thanks Saal for his work and looks forward to building a Department of Housing that is innovative and responsive.
The Governor says that the issue will continue to be among the top priorities for the state.
