It looks like school students at one Pawtucket Elementary School will be leaving the virtual learning behind then for a time.
The Pawtucket School Committee was updated on the status of Winters Elementary School at an emergency meeting on Tuesday night.
The new school on Broadway was plagued last month by a series of heating coil failures which caused burst pipes and flooding in classrooms.
Students have been distance-learning ever since.
Engineers from Gilbane Building Company have inspected all of the heating coils at the school, and the acting superintendent expects Winters will reopen on Friday.
State Officials have already approved two additional days of remote learning.
