Another candidate is declaring in the race to replace Congressman David Cicilline.
The newest Democrat to join the field is Providence native Stephanie Beauté who lost last year's election for the secretary of state's office.
Beaute' calls herself a mom and a problem solver.
She says that the state needs someone in congress that will prioritize healthcare and better paying jobs, as well as universal healthcare.
Pending Cicilline's resignation later this spring, the primary in the 1st District would happen on September 5th and the general election would be November 7th.
There are now seven people vying for the seat.
