Derrick White chipped in with 26 points and seven rebounds.
Malcolm Brogdon recorded 13 points and a game-high eight assists off the bench for the C's.
Dejounte Murray led the Hawks in scoring with 29 points. De'Andre Hunter collected a game-high 12 rebounds and scored 18 points for a double-double.
Celtics Coach Joe Mazzulla says that despite the lead in the series- the Hawks defense is making them work hard for whatever they get.
The series shifts to Atlanta for Game Three Friday night.
