One of the people arrested for an animal cruelty incident in Warwick pleaded not guilty in District Court on Tuesday.
Amanda Bray is accused of intentionally setting two animals loose, causing a panic last month in the Oakland Beach area.
The animals were first thought to be coyotes, but they were actually wolf-dog hybrids which are illegal to own as pets in Rhode Island.
The two canines are headed to an animal shelter in Ohio.
The other defendant, Andrew Sanville, is due in court on Thursday.
