Rhode Island is getting nearly 109-million-dollars for the expansion of broadband.
The Department of Commerce is distributing over 42-billion-dollars for high-speed Internet service nationwide.
The "Internet for All" initiative is part of the Biden administration's "Investing in America" agenda.
There has been no indication as to what projects the money will be spent on.
But the program is designed to either help those who can't afford broadband or who live in areas where it has been difficult to get.
