Billionaire real estate tycoon Stefan Soloviev is making a pitch to buy McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket and bring a baseball team back.
However, Pawtucket officials say the city-owned stadium and land is not for sale.
Voters have already approved a bond for a new consolidated high school to be built following the demolition of the 81-year-old stadium which became vacant when the Pawtucket Red Sox moved to Worcester.
A spokesperson for Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien says he wants to meet with Soloviev to encourage other investments.
