A marijuana dispensary in Portsmouth is in a battle with the state over a requirement for retailers.
The Boston Globe says Greenleaf Compassionate Care Center is challenging the requirement that retailers must enter into a labor agreement before being given the okay to sell recreational cannabis.
In 2021, before that law, Greenleaf workers had already voted to unionize.
In addition to the state Greenleaf is suing Rhode Island's new State Cannabis Commission.
So far there has been no comment either from the Governor or the Cannabis Commission.
