The Rhode Island DEM is reminding fishers about the dangerous smooth puffer fish.
These types of fish carry neurotoxins that are deadlier than cyanide.
The DEM says smooth puffer fish are becoming more common in Rhode Island waters.
Anglers are being urged to reconsider eating the fish or even using them as bait.
