Several shellfish areas in Narragansett Bay are temporarily closed.
The Department of Environmental Management said heavy rainfall on Sunday caused sewer overflows creating the possible risk of bacterial contamination.
Testing will continue daily.
The areas are expected to reopen next Monday.
