Rhode Island State Police say they have arrested Attorney Christopher Bijesse for "Unlawful Appropriation."
Colonel Darnell S. Weaver, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police says back in October of last year they received a complaint from the State Supreme Court Office of Disciplinary Counsel for alleged misappropriation of funds by the attorney in relation to an estate.
Colonel Weaver says that after a review of the accounts of the estate, they found 33 transactions, totaling some 34 thousand dollars where the funds were either transferred of withdrawn.
The Colonel says that the funds were used for business or personal expenses and were not connected to the estate.
Court officials say that the attorney has been arraigned and released until a future court date.
