A group of passengers who were affected by the infamous Block Island Ferry fight last summer are seeking monetary damages in a federal lawsuit.
The filing was made on Tuesday on the one-year anniversary of the brawl.
The defendants in the suit are the ferry owner, Interstate Navigation, and Ballard's Beach Resort on Block Island.
Ballard's hosted a reggae music festival where patrons were allegedly overserved drinks, causing fights to break out at the event.
Police had to board the boat that was traveling back to Narragansett to handle more fighting that the suit alleges was a carry-over from the reggae fest.
